Emilia Clarke is to lend her voice in one of Futurama’s last episodes of the series.
According to Yahoo! TV, Clarke is to guest star on August 28 as Dr. Zoidberg’s love interest. While Clarke plays the mother of dragons, Daenerys Targaryen, on HBO’s Game of Thrones, she will play Marianne, a flower stand owner without a sense of smell.
“She falls in love with Dr. Zoidberg — the smelliest character on Earth in the future — but she can’t smell him, so it’s a match made in heaven,” said the show’s executive producer David X. Cohen.
Cohen added while Clarke’s character can’t smell, she has an opportunity to get a nose transplant by Zoidberg. Inside TV reports this procedure could create a possible problem for their relationship.
The Futurama series is ending on September 4 after Comedy Central decided not to renew it for an 8th season. This is not the first time the show has been cancelled. From 2003 to 2007, there was a break from Fox before Comedy Central re-launched it.
