The American actor is best known for his roles in High Fidelity, Shallow Hal, School of Rock, King Kong, Nacho Libre, Tropic Thunder, Bernie, and the Kung Fu Panda sequel. He is also the lead vocalist of his rock group Tenacious D.
Born in Santa Monica, California, Black entered UCLA to study drama in college. However, he dropped out to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. He took on many small roles until he landed a role in a major hit film, High Fidelity. He has also guest starred on many television series such as, Will & Grace, iCarly, and Community. He has hosted many award shows because of his likable and comedic personality.
Black opened up to People about his marriage to wife, Tanya Haden in 2006. They met at their Crossroads high school and eloped that year. Tanya is a triplet and a musician. She released an acappella cover album The Who Sell Out. The couple now has two sons, Samuel Jason and Thomas David Black.
Since it's Jack Black's birthday, let's check out a video of him singing Happy Birthday for the American Cancer Society.
