It’s been rumored that pop stars Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, who both have new singles out this week, are feuding. Gaga feels so strongly about clearing the air on this, that she addressed it on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show on Tuesday morning.
Mother Monster told Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show that she has nothing but respect for Perry and her fanbase.
She admitted to being “really bothered” by the media saying there’s bad blood there, explaining she wanted to "put an end to [conflict] before it started."
"Because look, we both just happened to want to put our singles out within a week of each other. And it's not necessarily convenient for everyone and may be a little bit awkward…But we don't need to force-feed this negativity into it until everyone explodes,” E! Online reports.
She made sure to say, "I really like Katy Perry, and I like her fans.”
Gaga’s “Applause” and Perry’s “Roar” are both now out Gaga is hoping their respective fans can respect them enough to cap the negativity.
