Actor Robert Pattinson made a group of teens at the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital last week very happy by making a surprise visit. The former Twilight star had fun helping teens decorate picture frames, even if his art skills are ‘terrible.’
According to People magazine, the 27-year-old Pattinson visited the Teen Lounge on Aug. 16. He signed every picture frame for the children and even contributed to some of their work, even if he isn’t very good at it. He also posed for pictures, which the hospital shared on its website.
“Robert was so nervous about meeting the kids — he didn’t want to let them down — which is a testament to how humble he is. He was incredibly gracious and kind,” Child Life specialist Ana Vega said in a statement. “He will probably never fully understand what a huge lift he gave to these kids today, and how it will positively impact them over the long term.”

He also saw two Twilight fans who are cystic fibrosis patients and couldn’t leave their room.
Pattinson is currently in Los Angeles, working with his Cosmopolis director David Cronenberg again on Maps to the Stars. The hospital will be featured in a scene without Pattinson. The film also features Julianne Moore, John Cusack and Sarah Gadon.
