Television star Scott Bakula has found his next role.
According to Deadline, Bakula is returning to HBO as a recurring role in the new series Looking. The eight-episode dramedy revolves around three friends in San Francisco who explore the fun and sometimes overwhelming options available to a new generation of gay men.
The Wrap is reporting that Bakula will play an attractive entrepreneur and pillar of the Castro community.
Bakula was last seen in Behind the Candelabra, another HBO program that dealt with gay men. He even received an Emmy nomination for a supporting role for his portrayal of Bob Black.
Production for the new miniseries is slated to begin sometime in the fall and will premiere sometime in 2014.
Bakula has made a habit of taking on reoccurring roles on television series in the past several years. He has made stints on shows including Desperate Housewives, Chuck and The New Adventures of Old Christine. Bakula did have a starring role in the shortly lived show Men of a Certain Age.
