Last Sunday, MTV hosted its annual Video Music Awards and caused quite a stir.
Miley Cyrus was the biggest cause of controversy for her strange costume choice followed by twerking on Robin Thicke.
She didn’t respond to the outrage, but shared tweets from Rolling Stone that supported her performance.
Cyrus also skipped the after party to join Kanye West in the recording studio for their upcoming collaboration.
If all that news wasn’t enough, her single with Justin Bieber, "Twerk," was leaked.

Though Cyrus caught most of the backlash, Lady Gaga was her usual scandalous self. She performed her new single "Applause" and wore the skimpy shell bikini from it for the remainder of the show.
