Now that the noise has calmed down about Ben Affleck being the next Batman, news can finally start coming in about the actual character and story itself. The Batman in 2015's Batman vs. Superman will be a much more tired superhero than the Christian Bale hero. Affleck being a bit older than other candidates seems to be the perfect match for the worn-out caped crusader.
At a conference, Warner Bros CEO Kevin Tsujihara stated that "[He'll be] tired and weary and seasoned and been doing it for awhile," according to The Guardian. Tsujihara also went on to say that Affleck is "perfect" and that the movie itself will be "huge."
Tsujihara responded to fan's complaints about Affleck being the new Batman, says Latinos Post. He goes on to say, "We think it's the perfect springboard for Batman and Superman. Ben is perfect for the vision Zack has for that character. The fact that you saw such a passionate response in the blogosphere is really kind of a testament to the love that people have for this character." A worn-out and tired Batman may be what this character needs, and it will be the perfect contrast to the almighty Superman, who will be played again by Henry Cavill. Expect to see more news about this film as it draws closer.
