Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” continues to cause controversy. This time however, one of the parodies of the hit song is making the headlines. A video parody created by three female university students was removed from Youtube for containing sexual content. The video, entitiled “Defined Lines," involved a gender swap where the topless models of Thicke's video were replaced with topless males and the three women filled the roles of Thicke, Pharrel and T.I.
Less than 24 hours after having been removed from the site, the video was reinstated and views have doubled. One of the creators, Olivia Lubbock, has said, “It’s just funny that the response has been so negative when you flip it around and objectify males.”
