Dr. Oz is celebrating some big news! His daughter Daphne Oz is making the famed doctor a grandfather. The Chew co-host announced that she is pregnant.
According to Us Weekly, Daphne, 27, surprised her fellow Chew co-hosts - Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Clinton Kelly, and Carla Hall - by saying she wanted to show a picture of a trip to Europe she recently took with her husband John Jovanovic. Instead of revealing a vacation photo, she showed off three sonogram pictures.
Oz and Jovanovic have been married for three years, The Associated Press reports.
This will be the first child for the couple, and the first grandchild for her heart surgeon father Dr. Oz and mother Lisa.
Dr. Oz gushed over the news on Twitter Thursday writing, “I'm ecstatic that my daughter @DaphneOz and her husband John are expecting their first child!”
Daphene also shared the news on Instagram showing off the sonogram along with the caption. “Hello, baby!! John and I are thrilled to share the best news we've ever received. Bursting with love and excitement - let the adventure begin!!”
Us Weekly notes that the big reveal will air during the Monday, September 9 episode.
