Last year, Drake and Chris Brown's respective entourages got into a brawl at W.I.P. nightclub, reportedly over Rihanna. Rumor was that Drake sent Chris Brown a bottle with a message claiming that he smashed Rihanna. This stirred a fight between both entourages, leaving bystanders hurt. Now it seems the two superstars may have squashed their beef.
Drake just released his new album Nothing Was The Same and everything has been going his way. He has been on his promoting grind, doing interviews from left to right. Chris Brown is set to appear in the new movie Battle of the Year.
GlobalGrind reports that at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Vegas, Miley Cyrus cried during a performance, Khloe Kardashian reportedly ended her marriage problems and finally Chris Brown and Drake hugged out their differences over drinks and talks of a collaboration.
NY Post's Page Six reported that Drake and his entourage went to watch Chris Brown perform an entire set.
The source said, “After Chris left the stage, they were backstage hugging and drinking. The two were so chummy that they’re talking of working on tracks together.”
GossipOnThis claims that the mediator of all this was Akon’s brother Abou Thiam. Thiam is Def Jam Records exec, one of Chris Brown’s managers and happens to be very good friends with Drake.
Thiam set this up and worked hard to get the two together so that they could put their differences aside and make quality music.
