A spokesperson of Facebook told the The Huffington Post, "We are taking the time to ensure that people's comments are reviewed and taken into consideration to determine whether further updates are necessary and we expect to finalize the process in the coming week."
Some of the policy changes were in regards to sharing of personal information of Facebook account users. The changes would allow the social network to use the names and photos of users in advertising without consent from the user's involved, a serious violation to one's own privacy and to Facebook's previous settlement with the F.T.C. that banned such use of private information, cites the New York Times.
