Elizabeth couldn’t believe she was supporting Franco and Carly couldn’t believe she saw Elizabeth at AJ's arraignment. Someone watched Elizabeth walk off before Sonny startled Carly. Anna wondered if they were being paranoid but Duke remembered the gambling ring nosing around Sonny's business.
Outside Danny's room, Derrick told Alexis that Jason sounded like the love of Sam's life. Alexis agreed that he was. Derrick inquired why Alexis didn't approve of Jason and she then told Derrick that Jason was a hit man for the mob. He was surprised further when Alexis shared her personal connections to Sonny as his lawyer and lover, having had a child with him (Kristina.) She then teased him for thinking she'd take over his coffee business or that she was a member of the Jerome mob family. He then asked, "Are you?" She reminded him that he ran a check on her and found no such connection. Sonny replied that she might have covered her tracks. Ava fired back that she realized having the name Jerome pushed a lot of buttons in Port Charles, including Duke Lavery's. Sonny then talked about the history of the Jeromes and Ava reiterated that she wasn’t associated with any crime family but then admitted to having Connie's blood on her hands. Sonny was eager to know why. Ava then recounted having a drink with AJ at The Floating Rib. She added that she remembered how he blamed Connie for losing ELQ and said if she'd known how out of control he was, she could have done something to stop it. Ava then asked if Sonny could forgive her. He replied that there was nothing to forgive and that he blamed AJ not her for Connie’s death. Ava couldn’t believe Sonny didn't put a bullet in AJ. She then offered to tell the police about her encounter with AJ but wanted something in return.
Max visited Shawn at Kelly's. He told him that he was sure that Sonny was fine and that he was visiting with Morgan's mother-in-law. Shawn replied that he thought that Sonny's head wasn’t in the game after telling Max how Sonny had called him 'Jason' earlier. Max thought it was just an old habit given Sonny's history with Jason. Shawn then said they needed to take charge and find out more about the gambling ring players since Vince back and snooping around Port Charles. Later, Shawn and Max brought Vince back to Kelly's. Shawn interrogated him for nosing around and then punched him for insulting Connie's memory.
