With the huge casting change only just dealt with, it comes as no surprise that Fifty Shades of Grey's production start date has been pushed back.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, who exclusively revealed the news, the new production start date for the flick will be Dec. 2 instead of November.
With the new start date of Dec. 2, the studio has just under eight months to get the movie filmed and edited before its late summer Aug. 1, 2014 release date.
The delay likely comes as new male lead Jamie Dornan would need time to prepare for the role as he was only recently cast after Charlie Hunnam announced his departure from the film. Plus, there remain several roles to be cast.
A few days ago, it was previously reported that Luke Grimes was cast in a supporting role. He will play Christian Grey's brother, Elliot. Grimes previously starred in HBO's True Blood and Taken 2.
The roles of Kate, Anastasia Steele's roommate, and Grey's bodyguard have yet to be cast.
