The IFC Channel has ordered the pilot of Garfunkel & Oates to series.
The female-led comedy show stars Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome, who play Oates and Garfunkel, respectively, The Hollywood Reporter notes.
Jonathan Stern, Micucci and Lindhome are going to executive produce.
IFC President and GM Jennifer Caserta said, "We are huge fans of Riki and Kate; their humor is fresh and accessible and they'll be a great fit alongside The Spoils of Babylon, Portlandia, Maron and other shows on the horizon."
Caserta added, "Everyone we work with shares our sensibility and passion for creating authentic comedies, and these new relationships will further complement our expanding roster of original programming."
Garfunkel & Oates is about the duo's hopes and musical adventures, and is set to premiere in 2014.
Micucci will first be returning to appear in the new season of The Big Bang Theory, The Huffington Post reports. She originally appeared in season six as an awkward romantic interest for Raj.
She will return for the eighth episode on Nov. 14.
