Morrisey will be releasing his oft-delayed memoir and spoke out that the blog "This Charming Charlie" isn't worth going after.
The Guardian reports that Morrissey has agreed to a deal with Penguin Classics to release his autobiography. The book is slated for release on Oct. 17 for the U.K., British Commonwealth and Europe.
Unfortunately for U.S. Morrissey fans, the singer "has no contract with a publisher for the US or any other territory," which may or may not be a problem with Penguin's subsidiaries.
The Smiths former frontman has been working on the book for a while, saying back in 2011 that "I've reached the redrafting trimming stage." The draft was 660 pages in length at that time.
Morrissey also spoke out against Universal Music Publishing trying to shut down the blog This Charming Charlie, according to Spin. The surly singer reached out to his fan page True to You, saying he was "delighted and flattered by Lauren LoPrete's blog where she combined his lyrics with Peanuts comics.
He also made sure to point out that he "has not been consulted over any takedown request to remove the Tumblr blog." He made it known that he has no problem with the website.
