Michael Morris, who directed several episodes of NBC’s short-lived series Smash, has reportedly been thrown out of his house amid reports that he cheated on his wife with actress/singer Katharine McPhee, who he directed in that series.
News that McPhee and Morris were spotted kissing broke on Tuesday, when TMZ posted a picture of the two sharing a kiss. Both are married to other people and Morris has three young children with his wife, Mary McCormack. McPhee, a former American Idol contestant, has been married to Nick Cokas since 2008.
However, McPhee and Cokas are no longer living together. The two have been separated for months. “They've been separated for six months,” a source told Life & Style. “Nick continues to co-manage her music.”
This was not the case for McCormack and Morris, until now. According to sources for the New York Post’s Page Six, McCormack has thrown Morris out of their Los Angeles home.
"Mary threw Michael out of the house on Sunday night when he told her that TMZ had the photos and that they were about to be released," said a Post source.
McCormack appeared in USA Network’s In Plain Sight and her brother, Will McCormack, starred in ABC’s Brothers & Sisters, a show that Morris also directed many episodes of. She also appeared on NBC's Welcome To The Family, which was just cancelled.
