Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas, one-third of the girl group known as TLC, opened up about her relationship with Usher and his songs on the album Confessions.
In 2004, R&B singer Usher released an album called Confessions, and in the song “Confessions” he expresses regret in being in a relationship and stepping outside of it to have a child with someone else.
Many people suspected the song had been about Usher cheating on Chilli and when the two broke up after the album came out, it only sparked people's belief that the song "Confessions" was about her.
The song was actually about his friend and producer, Jermaine Dupri, and he was only singing about it, People reports.
If people still have their doubts, they can put it to rest because Chilli spoke exclusively to Us Weekly about whether the song was really about her or not, saying, “We were together when he recorded that album… All of those songs on Confessions, that was about Jermaine Dupri's situation. Usher was just singing it. But people kind of bought into it, it was just the timing of our breakup when the album came out."
Thomas admitted that she would always have love for Usher and did not comment on his custody battle with his ex-wife.
