Vanity Fair’s editor has confirmed the magazine will still be running their profile piece on Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow despite her attempt to get those close to her not to participate.
She declined to participate herself because of unflattering profiles they have done on other celebrities, but a new report suggests there’s one piece of information she doesn’t want exposed.
According to Page Six, the piece, written by Vanessa Grigoriadis, will dig deep into her relationship with Miami billionaire Jeff Soffer, who owns the Fontainebleau Hotel.
Paltrow has been married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin for 10 years and they have two children together, and Soffer is married to model Elle Macpherson.
However, the Vanity Fair piece will reportedly expose their affair. He flew her out to the reopening of the Fountainbleu in 2008 and she spent a few days there with him at his home.
When rumors swirled back then that Palrow and her husband were having problems and she might be having an affair with Soffer, her rep said, “Jeff Soffer is a friend of Gwyneth.”
VF editor-in-chief Graydon Carter told London’s Times Magazine, “She sort of forced my hand” to run it. Another topic the piece will reportedly cover is Paltrow's falling out with Madonna.
