Joan Rivers slams Jennifer Lawrence, calls her arrogant

Joan Rivers is firing back at Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence for recent comments she made about her E! show Fashion Police and how it sends all of the wrong messages to young girls.

Rivers took to Twitter to accuse Lawrence, one of the most beloved actresses in the business, of using the show to promote her new film Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

“There are shows like The Fashion Police that are just showing these generations of young people to judge people based on all the wrong values and that it’s OK to point at people and call them ugly or fat,” Lawrence told Yahoo earlier this month. “We have to stop treating each other like that and stop calling each other fat.”

Rivers tweeted earlier this week, “It’s funny how Jennifer Lawrence loved @E_FashionPolice during Awards Season when we were complimenting her every single week...” adding, “But now that she has a movie to promote, suddenly we’re picking on all those poor, helpless actors.”

The 80-year-old television veteran and comedienne then brought up Lawrence’s fall at the Oscars.

“WAIT! It just dawned on me why Jennifer Lawrence fell on her way up to the stage to get her Oscar. She tripped over her own arrogance,” she wrote.
