The man wearing the Jesus outfit was Makoto Takeuchi, a New York-based photographer from Chiba, Japan. He has not yet responded to emails requesting his reason for wearing the outfit.
According to the Daily Mail UK, a record 50,740 runners started the 26.2 mile course through the five boroughs.
