Following his split from wife Miranda Kerr, Orlando Bloom is opening up about it to Katie Couric in an episode of Katie, which airs on Friday.
The Romeo and Juliet star, 36, stressed that they’re always going to amicably co-parent their son, Flynn, 2.
"We're a family. We're going to be in each other's lives for the rest of our lives,” he told Couric, Daily News reports. “There's no question that, you know, for the sake of our son and everything else, we're going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn."
Bloom, 36, also said he and Kerr, 30 “love each other,” but "You know, life sometimes doesn't work out exactly as we plan or hope for."
"Fortunately, we're both adults, and we're professionals, and we love and care about each other. And we, most of all, love our son,” he also said.
Bloom and his estranged supermodel wife announced they were splitting after three years of marriage earlier this month.
“Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family," said their rep.
