Benedict Cumberbatch dramatically reads R. Kelly's 'Genius' (Video)

By Kyle Johnson,

On Wednesday night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Benedict Cumberbatch dramatically read aloud the lyrics to R. Kelly's new single "Genius," which is off his forthcoming album Black Panties.

The British actor was presented on a stool, wearing a black suit with a blown up cover of Black Panties in the dark background, E! News reports.

He alternates between reading the lyrics and offering up a smoldering look towards the camera.

Cumberbatch manages to keep a straight face for the most part as he utters such lyrics as "Bodies so freaking soft, I can't wait to turn you on." He adds, "You got me like, la, la, la, la, la. Baby, is how you make me feel, baby."

The Sherlock actor is forced to pause frequently as the audience shrieks and yells after each line Cumberbatch utters aloud, People notes. The actor finished off with a wink towards the camera after reading, "Go to sleep, and when we wake up I'll hit that thing again, promise." The audience can barely contain themselves after the last line.

Cumberbatch can be heard as the voice of Smaug in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug out in theaters Dec. 13. R. Kelly's new album Black Panties is on shelves Tuesday.
