By Chelsea Lewis ,

Beyonce keeps on making music history following the release of her surprise album.

The new self-titled album from Beyonce has arrived at No. 1 on the Billboard top 200 chart. Mrs. Carter is the only female to have her first five studio albums reach the top spot.

Billboard reports that all five of Beyonce's albums debuted in the top spot as well.

This album has become number one in 104 countries.

The secret iTunes release sold over 617,000 copies through the week of Dec 15. This is a record high for the pop star. Her previous best week came with B'Day selling over 541,000 copies.

Apple announced that the diva's self-titled album is behind only Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience when it comes to 2013 album sales, reported CBS.

When it comes to singles in 2013, Mackelmore and Ryan Lewis took the top spot with their song, "Thrift Shop."

The album from Beyonce includes both audio and visual tracks for fans. The album is currently available on iTunes and must be purchased as a full album. Fans cannot download individual singles.
