Celebrities you didn't know were superstitious

Today is Friday the thirteenth, and the approximated 21 million Americans with paraskevidekatriaphobia (a paralyzing fear of Friday the 13th) are freaking out. Today is not the day to break mirrors, walk under ladders, or open an umbrella indoors. Some may call it silly, but superstition is a very common phenomena. In hotels and high-rise buildings all over the world, floor 13 is omitted (they just call the 13th floor 14th instead). But superstition isn't just an issue for the average Joe, a number of celebrities believe in it too!

Missy Elliot isn't getting a black cat anytime soon. According to The LA Times, the rap diva told Jet magazine, "If a black cat walks in my path, I will immediately turn around and go home, even if I am on my way somewhere."

Cameron Diaz doesn't have a problem with black cats, but she does believe in lucky charms. According to Elle, she often wears a lucky necklace given to her by a friend in order to ward off aging. Diaz told Cosmopolitan, "I knock on wood all day long...constantly. But I've also flown on Friday the 13th in a storm with a black cat on my lap, so I'm not that superstitious."

Steven Tyler has his own good luck charm, but you might not notice it alongside his wild hair and flashy outfits. Parade Magazine discovered that Tyler wears a necklace with four raccoon teeth on it "for good luck."

Jennifer Aniston revealed to XFINITY Entertainment that she has a superstitious flying routine, “If I walk onto an airplane, I always have to go on with my right foot first and tap the outside of the plane,” she said. “I have always done it. For luck. Someone told me to do it and I don’t remember when that was. But it’s kind of stuck.”

Kristin Chenoweth, the Broadway blonde who also played a role on 'Glee,' has a fear of walking under ladders and a superstitious pre-show routine. She told Instyle, "I have a fear of walking under ladders. It's probably because it'd be much easier for me to do so than many people. I also say a prayer right before I got out on stage so that lights never fall on me."

Emma Roberts shares Chenoweth's ladder superstition. "Don't walk under ladders. My mom just walked under one yesterday and I was like, 'Oh my God, I can't believe you just did that!' I've never walked under a ladder, ever," Roberts told Instyle.

Megan Fox has Britney Spears as her lucky charm! In an interview with talk show host Conan O'Brien, Fox said that always listens to Britney Spears when she is flying because, “It’s not my destiny to die listening to a Britney Spears album."

So there you have it! Don't step on any cracks! Wouldn't want to break your mothers's back...
