Jennifer Lawrence says calling someone fat on TV should be illegal

By Chelsea Lewis ,

Jennifer Lawrence does not shy away from her role as a female role model for young fans. She is proud of her role in The Hunger Games and has often slammed critics who attack her body size and image.

Lawrence will appear on the Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People of 2013 special on Wednesday. In the interview, Lawrence spoke about how she thinks women are overly judged in the entertainment industry and how if society is going to regulate cigarettes and cuss words, they should also make it illegal to call someone "fat" on TV, People reports.

Lawrence got into a war of words with Joan Rivers, host of E!'s Fashion Police, because Rivers is teaching young people wrong values.

The Catching Fire star recently spoke to Harper's Bazaar magazine and said that when she was first getting into acting, she was often told she needed to lose weight for roles.

The Oscar winner can currently be seen on the big screen in both American Hustle and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
