Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Emily Blunt has joined the English-language cast of the upcoming Wind Rises. Disney will be releasing the English version of the film in 2014.

The Wind Rises could be the last film from famous Japanese director, Hayao Miyazaki, USA Today reports. He announced his retirement in September.

Gordon-Levitt will be voicing the character of Jiro Horikoshi, a Japanese boy who dreams of flying with the birds and wants to meet a famous plan designer from Italy, Giovanni Caproni, reports Variety.

Levitt recently spoke about what attracted him to this project. "What I love about acting is becoming somebody else, and when you're just doing the voice and the animation is providing the visuals, you can really become someone else," said Levitt.

The upcoming feature from Disney features some other big names from Hollywood, including, Stanley Tucci, Elijah Wood, William H. Macy and Werner Herzog.

The English version of this film will be released in the United States on Feb. 21, 2014. The film's English version is produced by Frank Marshall.

The Wind Rises has already received a Golden Globe nomination for best foreign film and has been receiving buzz that the film could be nominated in the best animated feature category at the Oscars.
