Kurt Sutter, the mastermind behind the hit show for FX Sons of Anarchy, has announced that he will be working on a new pilot for the network.
Sutter will be working with Brain Grazer on a new show for FX. The show will be a drama titled, The Bastard Executioner, reported Variety. The show will be produced by Fox 21 and FX productions.
Bastard will be a period drama that focuses on the story of a warrior knight in King Edward III's charge. The warrior, who is broken down by war, decides to stop fighting, only to see that the violence that surrounds him will not end, forcing him to embrace his warrior nature and fight.
Sutter recently spoke about his love for the upcoming show and the FX network, noting, "I love the network. I love the world. I love the blood."
Sutter created the show and wrote the pilot with help from Grazer, who is known for his work on Arrested Development. The show will also be produced by Grazer and Francie Calfo, along with Sutter, added Deadline.
Sons of Anarchy just concluded its sixth season and will be going into seventh and final season, which will make Sutter available to focus on his upcoming project.
The season six finale of Anarchy broke FX records and drew in over 5.2 million viewers.
