It’s being rumored that LaToya Jackson tied the knot with fiancé and business partner, Jeffre Phillips, on Friday in Los Angeles. Her mother, Katherine Jackson, and nephew Prince Jackson were reportedly in attendance. Prince is the son of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
Viewers saw Phillips propose to Jackson on her OWN reality show Life with LaToya. Jackson was married to her former manager Jack Gordon from 1989 to 1996.
RadarOnline reported the wedding on Friday, but Jackson and Phillips have since refuted the rumors in a statement.
Jackson’s rep told Entertainment Tonight, "The rumors that La Toya Jackson married her longtime business partner Jeffre Phillips are completely false. The reporting outlet should be embarrassed for their mistake and at least make an effort to find facts to back up their story before reporting."
A source told Us Weekly of Jackson’s relationship with Phillips that they're "very best of friends" and he's "part of the family by now."
Back in 2011, Jackson opened up about her tumultuous relationship with her ex-husband. "When I left him, I thought I don't ever want to see another man for the rest of my life," she said at the time. "In my mind it wasn't my fault but if it happens again it's my fault because I could've learned from my mistakes."
