Lionsgate is still enjoying the success of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire but is now ready to start promoting other upcoming films, including Lazarus, which stars Olivia Wilde.
Lazarus will be released on Jan. 30, 2015. This is only a few days before Super Bowl XLIX.
The film stars Wilde along with Mark Duplass, Donald Glover, Evan Peters and Sarah Bolger. The thriller tells the story of a group of students who are mapping the human brain. This project goes wrong and one of their own dies, which unlocks a deadly force by reanimating their colleague, Variety reports.
The upcoming thriller/horror film was directed by David Gelb. Luke Dawson wrote the script with Jeremy Slater.
Deadline reported that currently there is no other film set to open on that weekend.
The last movie to be highly successful on a Super Bowl weekend was Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour, which brought in $31 million, followed by Dear John with $30.4 million back in 2009.
