New E! series ‘Botched’ stars plastic surgeons fixing other surgeons’ mistakes

By Daniel S Levine,

E! has announced a new reality series called Botched, which will focus on the hard task of fixing botched plastic surgery jobs. The two plastic surgeons who will be tasked to fix these mistakes should be familiar to E! viewers, since both are husbands of Real Housewives stars.

Botched will have eight episodes, each running an hour and starring Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif. Each show will have either Dubrow or Nassif perform two surgeries and consult with other patients dealing with plastic surgery disasters. The series will take viewers step-by-step through the process.

“In a culture fixated on looks, I think we are equally fascinated by stories of both good and terrible plastic surgery,” Jeff Olde, E! EVP, Programming & Development, said in a statement. “As more and more people endure multiple procedures for that perfect look, all too often the outcome can be a nightmare. But with the help of two of the best doctors in the field, ‘Botched’ will offer them a second chance at beauty. ”

Back in 2010, Dubrow appeared in Bridalplasty and also worked on 2004’s The Swan. His wife is actress Heather Paige Kent, who appeared on Real Housewives of Orange County.

As for Nassif, he was married to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Adrienne Maloof before they split last year.

Botched will air in summer or fall 2014. The executive producers are Alex Baskin, Douglas Ross, Greg Stewart and Mark Herwick for Evolution Media.
