Rita Ora to be cast in Fifty Shades of Grey

By Jessica Rae Pulver-Adell,

The sultry Rita Ora has supposedly been cast in the film adaptation of the bestselling novel Fifty Shades of Grey. Ora will play the role of the lovely, effervescent Mia - the adopted sister of Christian Grey (similar to the pixie-vampire Alice Cullen from Twilight).

Ora's acting portfolio is scarce, yet she appeared in the British film Spivs, and made a cameo appearance in Fast and Furious 6, according to the Examiner. Being cast in the role of Mia may be Ora's big break into the acting industry where she can interject her musical genius onto the big screen.

The filming of Fifty Shades of Grey commenced earlier this week in Vancouver, after a scandal involving Charlie Hunnam bowing out in the star role of Christian Grey. Grey will now be played by the adored Jamie Dornan.

The British star's most recent album Ora went platinum and hit the number one hit in Britin, according to The LA Times. Ora is signed to Jay Z's Roc Nation Label.
