With Thanksgiving over, the holiday season is officially here.

This Wednesday is the 81st annual lighting of the Rockefeller Center Tree. It will feature performances from Mary J Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Mariah Carey and more.

Grammy nominated Leona Lewis is releasing her first holiday album Christmas, With Love.

Here is the cute video for “One More Sleep,” which looks like a Christmas home video.

Disney’s new holiday movie Frozen is releasing its soundtrack.

In other news:

The stage version of the classic Sound of Music is being brought to life on television this Thursday with Carrie Underwood. Fans of the original movie should not be offended, this is not an attempt to remake the film. It is meant to compliment the original and received a stamp of approval from Julie Andrews herself.

The CD of this tv event will be released on Tuesday.

Once again, Ryan Seacrest will be ringing in the New Year with New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

Barenaked Ladies cancelled an upcoming concert in Seaworld due to the documentary Blackfish. Based on their feelings and those of the fans, they felt uncomfortable with proceeding with their plans.
