The answer to a puzzle on Monday night's episode of Wheel of Fortune being The Fast and The Furious has left the show doing its best to apologize.
The poorly timed episode aired on about 200 local stations, Fox News reports. The show did its best to apologize saying the puzzle was an "unfortunate coincidence."
Wheel of Fortune noted that episodes of the show are taped long before airing and this particularly one was recorded a couple weeks ago. One tweet from the show said, "The hearts of everyone at Wheel of Fortune go out to the family, friends & fans of Paul Walker."
Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajack also spoke up in a tweet, writing, "Feel terrible about timing of 'Fast & Furious' puzzle tonight."
As previously reported, the investigation into Paul Walker's death had concluded that while speed was a factor, there was no second car and the crash didn't happen during a drag race. The posted limit for the area is low though, dropping to 15 mph in places, while the car was reportedly going 40 to 45 mph.
An autopsy on the Hours actor was scheduled for Tuesday.
