Abbey Clancy strikes back at weight loss controversy

By Amy Michura,

Strictly Come Dancing star, Abbey Clancy, spoke up against the controversy her body image has caused.

Clancy, also the new face of Ultimo underwear, has received a lot of criticism over her slim figure, reports The Mirror. Katie Price in particular commented on her figure, especially after Clancy posed for Hunger magazine.

However, the 28-year-old told OK! Magazine that she’s naturally slim, it’s genetic.

“My brother is about 6ft 4in and about a size 6 himself - he’s that thin!” Clancy said. “All my family are tall and lean.”

She explained that participating in Strictly Come Dancing also helped her slim down, however she wasn’t looking for it. Clancy claims she feels healthier, but she feels as if now she has a “boyish” figure.

“My boobs went, I got a six-pack and my legs went muscly,” she explained. “So I was like, ‘I’m not sure if I like this!”

Now, as the face of Ultimo underwear, her confidence can have a boost. She claims that she’s able to “go up two cup sizes,” so she explains, “It’s ideal.”
