A fan of the show Breaking Bad, Ryan Lee Carroll, who won a contest that allowed him to watch the finale with the show’s cast in September, was arrested on drug charges Wednesday.
Carroll, 28, was booked on two felonies and one misdemeanor for the possession of a synthetic narcotic, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription (felonies) and keeping a shop or vehicle for dangerous drugs (misdemeanor).
According to the Daily News, the Florida resident is being held on a $12,500 bond. Two other men; James Lee Allen, 35, and Benjamin Scott Smith, 33 were arrested soon after him.
“It’s still an active investigation,” Lee County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Tiffany Wood told Naples News about specific details, such as what kind of drugs were involved. “The community is safe.”
When Carroll when the contest back in September, he called the show about a high school teach turned meth dealer “highly addicting, just like the meth they make.”
Before meeting Aaron Paul and the rest of the cast in L.A. he also told Naples News “I think we’re going to be in Hazmat suits with them. It’s going to be crazy.”
