Breaking Bad actor Jesse Plemons is reportedly being looked at for a lead role in Star Wars: Episode VII.
Sources involved in casting for the film have exclusively told TheWrap that he will audition again and meet face-to-face with J.J Abrams, who is directing the movie, next week. His first audition was taped and it reportedly went well.
The sources have said that the Friday Night Lights actor is auditioning for one of the lead roles in the film, but no specifics on what this coveted role might be yet. TheWrap does note the actor's age, 25, and appearance could make him a good casting choice to play Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker's son.
Little has been confirmed of the highly anticipated project other than Abrams is directing and is collaborating with Empire Strikes Back writer Lawrence Kasdan on the script. The movie is assumed to naturally take place after Darth Vader's death and the film is due to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
The only other bit of confirmed news on the anticipated sequel is that R2-D2 would definitely make an appearance in some way in Episode VII.
