Cleveland Browns wide receiver Davone Bess was arrested at a Florida airport Friday and charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer.
According to NFL.com, the Broward County Sheriff's Office police report states that Bess faces three charges, including disorderly conduct and resisting an officer.
The 28-year-old Bess was seen arguing with the TSA officer at the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport.
He posted $100 bond and was released from custody at 10:23 a.m.
The Associated Press reported that Bess’ arrest comes just one day after he posted a photo on his Twitter page of a small package containing what appears to be marijuana. That photo has since been taken down.
A spokesman for the Browns said that the team is aware of the situation and working to gather more details.
Bess signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2008, after playing college football at the University of Hawaii. He signed a three-year contract with the Browns last year.
