Raven Banner Entertainment, a company based in Canada, will take on the horror film Jacqueline Ess: Her Will and Testament, based on the short story by Clive Barker.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Raven Banner managing partner Andrew Hunt said in a statement on Wednesday, “I personally have always loved the story of Jacqueline Ess. It has all the qualities one wants in a modern horror film, so I’m excited to see it finally being brought to life on film."

Jacqueline Ess is the story of a woman who can forcibly alter someone's body with the power of her mind. Barker’s Seraphim Films is set to executive produce.

Barker is known for his previous work Hellraiser. Barker told Variety in October that he is also interested in making a remake of his 1987 horror film, Hellraiser. He said that he hoped to bring back Doug Bradley, the original actor who played Pinhead.

Clive Barker was born in England. His other credits include Underworld, Nightbreed and the TV movie Saint Sinner.
