Daily Wrap of All Things for Jan 16: E-readers, Justin Bieber, Jared Padalecki and Reese Witherspoon

By Samantha Ravenscroft,

Here’s our daily wrap for Thursday Jan 16:

The number of people who use e-readers has gone up from 23 percent to 28 percent in the last year but a recent study shows that printed books are still popular. Seven in 10 Americans still read printed books and only 4 percent of the 1,000 Americans studied solely prefer e-readers. Printed books are also still popular with younger readers. 73 percent of the 18-29 year old demographic read a printed book in the last year.

The CW’s Supernatural star Jared Padalecki posted to Twitter accusing Justin Bieber of paying off Lil Za to take the fall for the drugs found in Bieber’s home and the Beliebers are not happy about it. Fans have taken to Twitter to voice their distaste for Padalecki and are threatening to stop watching the hit CW show.

Reese Witherspoon has stepped away from the film project The Intern due to scheduling issues. Witherspoon was set to star alongside Robert De Niro but now rumors are speculating that Kristen Wiig may be brought on to the project. The film was first set to star Michael Caine and Tina Fey but was reworked due to budget issues.
