Ed Sheeran says there's no Taylor Swift duet on new album

By Chelsea Lewis ,

Fans all over the U.S. and internationally have gotten to know Ed Sheeran as he has opened for Taylor Swift on her recent Red tour. The duo even did a chart topping duet, "Everything Has Changed." However, fans might be slightly disappointed to learn that Sheeran's next album will not feature a new song performed with Swift.

MTV UK reported that in a recent interview with Capital FM, the "Lego House" singer talked about the reason for no new duet.

"I didn't work with Taylor [Swift] on the album purely for the fact that we've done that already," said Sheeran.

Sheeran also explained that even though he won't be featuring Swift on the album, the two are very good friends and often hang out and write music together. That is a process that won't be stopping anytime soon.

Earlier this week, the "A Team" singer announced that he will be going on a UK and Ireland arena tour in 2014, which is set to kick off in October, The Mirror reported.
