The new season of ABC’s The Bachelor just started this week and there is already a controversy. Kylie Lewis, who was eliminated by Juan Pablo Galavis in Monday’s season premiere, now claims that she was set up to fail by the producers.
While speaking with TMZ, Lewis claims that the producers told her to act dumb on the show and told her to dye her hair from strawberry blonde to red. Then, they told her to wear a pink dress instead of purple and told her to tweet about meeting Galavis to make her look desperate.
She told the site that she wanted to show off her drawing skills for Galavis, but the producers told her to send the boring “OMG” tweet instead.
OMG I JUST MET @JuanPaGalavis!!!

They made her look even worse by airing the embarrassing moment when she thought Galavis was going to hand her a rose. She walked up to pick it up, but it turned out that he said the name of another contestant instead. Lewis isn’t happy that the producers aired it.
Us Weekly notes that Lewis also spoke with B69 in Chicago about that moment, saying that the rose ceremony took an hour. “So you're standing there -- and it's 6 a.m. -- after filming for 10-plus hours with no sleep. That's the part no one really realizes. So you're already delirious,” she said.
Lewis also told B69 that producers suggested other things, like her limo entrance. “And I agreed to it -- it's not that they force you to do anything. It's just that they come up with the ideas, and then you go with it,” she said.
FINALLY.The weight has been lifted. I received no rose, but the support I have felt along the way means more to me than I can ever explain.
