Actor Tate Donovan has joined the cast of Jack Bauer's latest adventure, 24: Live Another Day.
Donovan will play White House Chief of Staff Mark Boudreau in the 24 miniseries, reports Variety. Tate was most recently in the event series Hostages.
His character is said to be a brilliant political adviser who also happens to be married to the president's daughter. President James Heller is played by William Devane and his daughter, Audrey Raines, is played by Kim Raver.
They play two CIA agents in charge of trying to track down and capture Kiefer Sutherland's Jack Bauer in London. Two others, Giles Matthey and Gbenga Akinnagbe, were cast to round out the group of CIA agents hunting for the show's star.
Others previously cast for 24, include Judy Davis, Michael Wincott and Mary Lynn Rajskub.
The 12-episode event series is set to premiere on Fox on May 5.
