Fox orders ‘Weird Loners’ to series

Fox orders three other comedy pilots for their upcoming roster

Fox has announced that they have ordered six episodes of the comedy Weird Loners.

According to Variety , Fox also added that they have picked up three more comedy pilots for their upcoming roster.

Fox also picked up a pilot for Empire that has been referred to as "a family drama set in the world of hip-hop empire that will feature both original and current music," that was written by Lee Daniels. Daniels is best known for his work on The Butler.

TV Guide reports that Weird Loners is being created by King of Queens co-creator Michael Weithorn and will be a single camera production. The show will tell the story of how four people, who are very afraid of commitment, come together in a Queens townhouse.

The three other pilots include Dead Boss, Sober Companion, and an untitled entry from Ricky Blitt that stars Jane Kaczmarek, best known for her portrayal of Lois in Malcolm in the Middle.

According to deadline.com , Dead Boss will be an adaptation of the British prison comedy of the same name. It will be a single camera production from David S. Rosenthal and Jennie Snyder Urman.

Sober Companion tells the story of an attorney that has his life turned upside down when a very interesting sober companion moves into his life.

According to Variety, the as of yet unnamed pilot, written by Ricky Blitt, concernes a single mother who astonishes her live-in thirty-year-old son by abruptly getting married after a twenty-year single life. To add to his surprise, her new husband and his three children are moving in.
