For all of you James Franco fans out there, you have something to look forward to this upcoming Sunday. The man who seems to do it all will be joining the list of celebrities featured in Super Bowl commercials, when he appears alongside Rob Riggle, in an ad for the Ford Fusion Hyrbid.
The real Rob Riggle will star in the first 30 seconds of the commercial, while Franco will come out for the final 60 seconds as a double of Riggle.
According to Deadline, the ad will be on between the coin toss and the kick-off of the game.
Franco says, “I know Super Bowl commercials are really big deals. Many are like mini-movies nowadays, with high production values and really good concepts. It sounded like it would be fun. It had comedy in it, so it felt like there was enough self-awareness built in,” reports Variety.
Other sponsors such as Chevrolet, Jaguar, Kia, Audi, Toyota, and Hyundai will have ads appearing during the Super Bowl, so the appearance of Franco might just add a little something special to Ford’s commercial.
