Kanye West is known for being a little over the top, with his current Yeezus tour, headline-making fights and the famous incident when he took over Taylor Swift's acceptance speech back in 2009 during the MTV video music awards.
West is now speaking out about the moment and how he recovered from the national media attention after he took over the stage from Swift. West spoke about what he did to move on. "God, sex, and alcohol... a lot of sex," West told Interview magazine.
West went on to explain that being a celebrity was not something that he ever planned for.
"As a celebrity, I have an opportunity to make a living at being the spokesperson for the third or fourth rendition of a thought - promoting something that has already been proven," he continues. "The problem is that I like to be the inventor - I'm the person who works on the concept, who invents new thoughts, who brings new ideas into the universe."
West added that his focus now is on his family and that he feels the need to protect them. "We've seen so many people combust, suffocate, get lost in all these different things. But to have an anchor of other astronauts and to make a little space family," West said about his family, notes Us Weekly reported.
As a couple, West and Kardashian are tabloid favorites and cannot keep their lives out of the news. The two are parents to daughter North West.
