Lucy Hale's single 'You Sound Good To Me' shows strong debut on country Billboard charts

By Chelsea Lewis ,

Lucy Hale, who is known for her work on Pretty Little Liars, has just released her first country music single, "You Sound Good To Me." The single launched into the Billboard Hot 100 charts at No. 88. She enters with a spot on the country charts at No. 21.

"You Sound Good To Me" sold over 42,000 downloads in its first week of release, Billboard reported.

This is the second strongest debut for a female country solo artist. Former Voice winner Danielle Bradbery holds the top spot with her debut of "Heart of Dixie," which took the No. 16 spot back in August.

Hale recently spoke to MTV regarding her upcoming album. She has been working on launching her music career for over a decade.

"I think a lot of people know me as Aria from PLL or whatever, but a lot of people don't know Lucy, and they don't know my story and the things that I've been through and what I stand for," Hale said. "So I think after listening to the album, they'll get a clear idea of who Lucy Hale is as a human being, not just as an actress or whatever."

Support for the single is coming from Hale's strong fan base. The music video for "You Sound Good To Me" was shown during a brand new episode of Pretty Little Liars.

Hale can currently be seen on ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars, which has just returned for its fourth season.
