The 31st edition of the Miami International Film Festival announced the program for 2014, with 92 films selected.
MIFF executive director Jaie Laplante told The Hollywood Reporter, "The programming team believes the selection of films showcased in the festival this year is a reflection of our passion for film, and we hope that it will strengthen our community's love and appreciation for the art of filmmaking."
Over a period of 10 days, a total of 92 feature films will be presented. The work comes from the United States and abroad; with a total of 38 countries represented. Movies that are scheduled to show at the festival include the North American premiere of Elsa and Fred, starring Shirley MacLaine and Christopher Plummer.
According to Variety, the film is a remake of the 2008 Argentinian/Spanish hit. The film also features Marcia Gay Harden, George Segal, Chris Noth, James Brolin and Wendell Pierce.
Actor and director John Turturro will be presented with a Career Achievement Tribute. His work includes films like O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Illuminata.
The Miami International Film Festival runs March 7-16.
