It’s no surprise to any fan that the New York Rangers want Mats Zuccarello to stick around. With 26 goals and 37 points, Zuccarello has been a staple for the team.
The last game the Rangers played ended with an astounding 7-3 win over their rivals the New Jersey Devils, at Yankee Stadium.
Saturday’s game resulted in a 5.1 rating, the highest rating for an NHL game in New York on NBC, according to The New York Daily News. Zuccarello scored two of the seven goals.
The New York Rangers are second in the Metropolitan division of the Eastern Conference. Much of that success has has to do with the skill of the left wing and 26-year-old Norway native.
The stadium series will continue for Mats Zuccarello and the Rangers on Wednesday against the New York Islanders.
