Sarah Palin says she wants to reach young woman with her new outdoors reality television show.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, at the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Friday morning, Palin talked about reaching a female audience with her new reality show Amazing America With Sarah Palin airing on the Sportsman Channel.
"I think this world would be better off having more young women holding a fish in a picture than holding their camera in front of a bathroom mirror, talking a selfie," she said.
The former Alaskan governor told the Associated Press that given her background, some politics may sneak through, but she promised that her new show won’t be overly political. The focus of the show is to showcase the outdoors and trying to live a healthier way of life.
Palin also said she loves the critics and invited them to come check out her home state.
"I want you to come up there," she said. "That is the way that you can connect. So much of Alaska is what America used to be with a pioneering spirit. ... What our show is going to do is highlight the people, places and things that embody that American experience."
