Prince William hurries home for Kate Middleton's birthday

By Alicia Mayle,

In a romantic gesture to his wife, the Duchess, Prince William raced through the train station one mile from Cambridge University to make it home for her birthday.

Most university students would have to make the trek by foot or by bus, however, for this Duke, a chauffeur-driven Range Rover was waiting outside his agricultural management class, and another car waited for him at Kings Cross Station.

Kate’s mother, Carole, sister Pippa, Prince Harry and young Prince George were in attendance, according to Hollywood Life. All three women went shopping around London for the day.

As was expected, the Prince was dressed differently from his first day of school. William dressed in a suit and tie as he toured the school earlier this week, however, in his rush to his wife, he dressed in comfy sneakers, a baseball cap, and a vest with a heavy backpack in tow, according to Vanity Fair.

At the end of the day, the Duke and Duchess spent a quiet meal at Kensington Palace with each other and their family.
